Are You Ready to Cross?

Abandonment

Are you going to leave me too? It’s a question that many of us probably want to ask people that we develop a bond with, or that have impacted our life. Personally I’m fine being by myself, but I truly struggle with the idea or possibility that those I value will leave me. Regardless what occurs in relationships, families, friendships, or professional careers, there is a constant that we can depend on; God will NEVER leave you nor forsake you!! God won’t abandon you, and these test answers are a reminder of that.

5No one will be able to stand against you as long as you live. For I will be with you as I was with Moses. I will not fail you or abandon you.
6“Be strong and courageous, for you are the one who will lead these people to possess all the land I swore to their ancestors I would give them. 7Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the instructions Moses gave you. Do not deviate from them, turning either to the right or to the left. Then you will be successful in everything you do. 8Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do. 9This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

Joshua 1:5-9 NLT
4Yea, though I walk through the valley of Job 3:5; 10:21, 22; 24:17; Ps. 44:19the shadow of death,
(Ps. 3:6; 27:1)I will fear no evil;
Ps. 16:8; (Is. 43:2)For You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

Psalm 23:4
9Ps. 69:17; 143:7Do not hide Your face from me;
Do not turn Your servant away in anger;
You have been my help;
Do not leave me nor forsake me,
O God of my salvation.
10Is. 49:15When my father and my mother forsake me,
Then the Lord will take care of me.

Psalm 27:9-10
5Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, Gen. 28:15; Deut. 31:6, 8; Josh. 1:5“I will never leave you nor forsake you.” 6So we may boldly say:
Ps. 27:1; 118:6“The Lord is my helper;
I will not fear.
What can man do to me?”

Hebrews 13:5-6
16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

John 14:16-18
22 And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you.
23 And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.

John 16:22-23
24The man of too many friends [chosen indiscriminately] will be broken in pieces and come to ruin,
But there is a [true, loving] friend who [is reliable and] sticks closer than a brother.

Proverbs 18:24
